Mobile App Redesign
DescriptionThis fall, in collaboration with the Office of Communications, IITS will release a new version of the app focusing on the features students use most and adding additional signature events to encourage engagement in campus activities and a virtual ID. We now have the ability to add personalized content and targeted notifications. We will work with various departments on campus to utilize these tools in an ongoing effort to further one of our strategic priorities, which is to communicate with students via the device they prefer to use – their mobile phone.
Start and Delivery Dates
07/09/2018 to 08/22/2018
08/22/2018: New version of campus app live today including the following new features: Virtual ID, Email, Discounts, My Class Schedule and Event sliders on the homepage.
08/08/2018: New Design accepted. Initiating building phase.
07/18/2018: New module layout presented in two wire frame options to the implementation team. Design phase is next.
07/09/2018: Met with the Web Team, Systems Development and the Office of Communications to establish a timeline for the fall rollout and discuss roles/responsibilities
03/07/2018: Virtual ID prototype demoed to campus one-card concept group as a potential interim solution while investigating one card vendors continues.
02/23/2018: Prototype of Virtual ID created to investigate potential use cases and feasibility of incorporating into the campus app.
