Multi-Factor Authentication Campus Implementation

Description

Implementation of multi-factor authentication for campus users. This project builds on the successful pilot of DUO to CMS users. Next steps include implementation of MFA in phases with goal of "everyone/everything". Phases incorporate risk (risky applications, likely compromised accounts) and take into account the initial support burden of enrolling users.

04/05/2019: Fall 2018 Technology Spotlight - DUO Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

01/23/2019: IITS is working on a directory infrastructure update that will allow Duo on applications such as Office 365. Planning for Early Spring 2019 rollout.

10/22/2018: As the next phase of the MFA implementation involves the entire campus, detailed planning and further communications for the next phase of the rollout will move forward once approved for implementation by IMSC.

08/22/2018: Email message sent to all MPP's - The campus is beginning to roll out multi-factor authentication (MFA) for CFS and Campus Solutions. MFA for both CFS and Campus Solutions will become active after the Fall 2018 add-drop period.
