Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Description
CSUSM has previously deployed Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to approximately 150 users of Level 1 information. In partnership with the CSU, CSUSM has licensed Duo for all faculty and staff. CSUSM has additionally licensed the product for students in order to address the weakness inherent in password-only strategies. Given CSU direction, and campus operational requirements, IITS will prioritize the deployment of MFA to all CSUSM community groups through the end of calendar year 2020.
